Hands-On – Participation Cooking Class: Aprons and workstations will be set up for you while your Chef-Instructor walks you through each course and giving you lots of tips and tricks along the way.

  • Potato Rolls: Master the art of making tender, melt-in-your-mouth rolls, with a slight sweetness and pillowy texture. We’ll teach you the tricks to adding just the right amount of moisture using potatoes, so you can bake rolls that are simply irresistible.

  • Baguette: Perfect your baguette technique! Learn how to achieve that classic crispy exterior and soft, airy crumb inside while you practice shaping and baking these iconic loaves to perfection.

  • Jam & Compound Butters: No bake is complete without something to spread on it. We’ll guide you through making seasonal jam from fresh fruits, paired with compound butters bursting with flavor. Imagine a rich cinnamon honey butter or zesty herb-infused butter, all designed to complement your rolls and baguettes.

If you cannot make your reservation, we do encourage you to attempt to find someone that would enjoy attending. We can only issue a credit for you to attend a future event (6 month expiration). Within 72 hours we are not able to offer a credit as we’ve already incurred food and help costs.

I am a pastry chef currently working towards my bachelor's in food science while working as part of the culinary team here at The Joyful Gourmet. One of my goals in the kitchen is to make baking fun and approachable. As the evening store manager, I strive to make sure everyone has a great experience, whether it comes to introducing you to new kitchenware, sipping on a glass of wine or enjoying our cooking classes. When I'm not at work, I will either be working on my garden or nose deep in a book.
