Pie Perfection – 12-time National Pie Champion Chef Matt Zagorski

Join National Pie Champion Chef Matt Zagorski as he brings his trademark sense of humor and love of food science to our kitchens to demonstrate some of his favorite pies.  This fun and delicious class will feature a very satisfying Chocolate Cream pie as well as a light and bright Lemon Curd pie (affectionately known as Gramma Ellie’s Lemon Birthday Pie).   Chef Matt will also share some easy ways to change up the chocolate pie to “make it your own” as we as demonstrate how to make a perfect pie crust suitable for a variety of different pies.

Chef Matt has 12 national pie making titles, was a featured pie maker on the Food Network’s “Food Network Challenge” and has multiple recipes in America’s Best Pies cookbooks.  He is known for his sense of humor, easily duplicated recipes and his ability to break down the most difficult kitchen challenges so that anyone can do them.
